Great choice for trip. Nice accommodation with wonderful setting next to the island, a really nice local bar/restaurant, and transport around the island back to Sao Filipe with an agreed upon price. Very amiable and genuinely helpful staffs, gave a few recommendations.

Review for Casa Marisa 2.0 in Portela. I had an exceptionally nice and warm room that included everything I needed. the convenience of having a work desk, dining area, and seating area made my stay even better. the staff was fantastic and always attentive, ensuring a great experience. the location was stunning, situated near the Fogo volcano and offered easy transport around the island back to Sao Filipe at an agreed-upon price.

The room is bright, and the staff here are friendly and fantastic. the location is convenient, especially compared to all the Cape Verde islands we've explored. 🌞.

This hotel offers a wonderful stay with an awesome location, just a short distance from Southover Grange Gardens.

We had an unforgettable stay surrounded by the stunning views of a volcanic caldera. the warm floors of our room, built on fresh lava, made it cozy and unique. the owners arranged everything for us, from breakfast to guided volcano hikes. the food was exceptional and we loved stargazing from the rooftop.

The hotel room lacked some modern amenities, but it added to the adventure of staying in a remote, off-grid location.

We had an amazing time in this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. They arranged transportation for us and suggested great hiking tours. The hotel facilities were clean and warm due to the lava it was built on. The breakfast was simple but sufficient.

The view of the island was breathtaking and the staff was helpful with hiking directions. the possibility to watch the stars from the Huts was amazing.

I found the shower a bit uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the transport around the island caused a bad experience, the agreed price was almost double at the end of the ride.

Spent a lovely Christmas at this remote lodge surrounded by breathtaking volcanic landscapes. The staff were very helpful and arranged a guide for us who was both professional and knowledgeable about the area. The lodge is in a key location perfect for hiking and getting up close to the volcano. We loved the cool breeze coming from the mountain that helped us relax on the balcony. The dinner experience was exceptional, offering local and traditional classic dishes that satisfied our culinary craving.

The accommodation itself was pretty basic and could benefit from some updating and a few cosmetic improvements, such as better bathroom fixtures. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, and the noise it made every time we turned was very distracting, so we didn't have a good night's sleep.

Lovely bungalows, impressive location inside Caldeira of Fogo. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Excellent food and ingredients. Organized tours and activities. Great seating area and atmosphere.

For us it was ideal.
